From: Esna to Aswan / 6 Days – 5 NightsThis tour runs on Mondays

Day 1 – Monday:
Esna Luxor Our Reflections Egyptologist Guide will be waiting at Luxor International Airport or Railway Station to meet and escort your for a tour to Esna which is located approx.. 33 miles south of Luxor. Here you will embark your Dahabiya. Esna is well known for the small Ancient Temple of Khnum, which sits 10 meters below street level. Your tour will begin with a short walk to the Temple and a stroll through the streets which are filled with beautiful textiles and other exotic goods.
Overnight in Esna on board your Nile boat.

Day 2 – Tuesday:
El Kab & Edfu Aswan Commence sailing to El Kab, which is on the East bank of the Nile.El Kab was once the capital of Upper Egypt known as Alsaeid in Arabic and is still home to the Temple of Nekhbet, including a row of fascinating decorated tombs carved into the slope of the mountains. Once you have docked you will enjoy a lovely walk through a small fishermen village to visit the necropolis. In the afternoon, the boat will arrive at Edfu, where you will visit Edfu Temple which is dedicated to the god Horus. A Horse and carriage will carry you to the Temple through the busy city streets. After returning to the boat you will set sail for a beautiful island.

Day 3 – Wednesday:
Sail & Swim Aswan Today is dedicated to the River so after enjoying Breakfast and an optional morning walk you will set sail. In the afternoon you will stop at an island and have the opportunity for a stroll or a swim in the Nile. As dusk begins to fall there may be a chance for you to walk into the desert along a valley lined with boulders covered in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and stone-age inscriptions. These images mark the beginning of the shortest trail through the desert to Libya. At night, the boat will tie up at the foot of the floodlit Temple of Gebel Silsileh.

Day 4 – Thursday:
Gebel Silsileh Aswan Here the Nile is flowing between two mountains ranges and is at it’s narrowest. Usually you will be the only visitors at this fascinating site, as large Nile cruisers are not allowed to stop here. Once you have visited the small Temple of Horemheb and taken a walk through the sandstone quarries where the Ancient Egyptians cut stone for many of their most famous temples, you will visit a picturesque café to enjoy tea and shisha also known as a Water pipe. You will then sail to a picturesque River Bank where you will stop for lunch and swimming.

Day 5 – Friday:
Kom Ombo Aswan After spending a night on the water underneath the starry skies we have a morning trip to the town and Temple of Kom Ombo. The Temple was built during the Ptolemaic period and is dedicated to the Crocodile headed God Sobek. After enjoying the temple, you will visit the new Crocodile Museum, which contains many mummified crocodiles.

Day 6 – Saturday : Aswan Aswan After Breakfast on board it will be time for you to disembark your Dahabiya after which you will be transferred to Aswan Airport or Railway Station for your final departure.

Tipping for a job well done is customary and highly expected in Egypt though it is not obligatory. Please feel welcomed but not obliged to offer a tip to your service provider

We are offering a considerable down payment of just 20% to secure your space on the tour including hotel room, cruise cabin, domestic flight ticket, and other travel-related services and 30% during Christmas, New Year and Easter Holidays. The remaining balance can be paid up to two days prior to your arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination. Therefore, your booking will be a risk-free investment.

In case you cancel your trip, the following charges will be applied:

At any time after your booking is confirmed, Ancient Egypt Tours holds a 20% non-refundable deposit

7 days or less before departure, we will retain the 50% payment you have paid in relation to your booking.

We advise all clients to purchase travel insurance in the event that travel is unexpectedly interrupted due to illness. To confirm the booking, the client must pay a deposit of 20% of the total tour price.

Should the reservation be canceled, customers will be charged a fee depending on how far beyond the departure date the cancellation is made. To cancel, the Customer must notify the Tour Organizer in writing.

Full payment forfeiture in case of no show

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival: 20% of the total tour price (deposit).
  • Cancellation made between 08 and 30 days before arrival: 50% of the total tour price.
  • Cancellation made between 04 and 07 days before arrival: 75% of the total tour price.
  • Cancellation made between 0 and 3 days before arrival: 100% of the total tour price

All Transportation tickets are nonrefundable and there’s also a 5% transaction fee on refunds.

Here, at Ancient Egypt Tours, we prioritize your well-being and safety above all else and for that reason, we have adapted our cancellation policy to reflect our values. We offer a very flexible cancellation policy in case the government or the airline issues a NOT TO TRAVEL warning to the designated destination. In the event of this happening, we will refund you the amount paid according to cancellation policy, unless you prefer to keep your payment available for future travel credit and travel voucher that can be used towards any of the destinations, we operate tours in. You have the flexibility to apply this amount towards new travel services booked. Reservations will be adjusted to reflect these travel credits automatically.

After your tour is confirmed, we will email final confirmation and voucher to print and bring with you. Details will include contact numbers of your tour operator and customer care and additional information for your convenience.

1. How to issue your visa?

If you are planning to visit Egypt, there are three types of visas that you can apply for: Visa on Arrival, E-Visa, and Free Visa. To obtain a Visa on Arrival that lasts for 30 days, you must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries, have a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining, and pay $25 USD in cash at the airport border guard.

To apply for an E-Visa that also lasts for 30 days, you must have a valid passport with at least 8 months remaining, complete the online application, pay the e-visa fee, and print the e-visa to present it to the airport border guard.

If you are one of the lucky ones, you can obtain a free visa that lasts for 90 days.

3. What is the weather during the tour?

The temperature in Egypt varies from 14°C to 37°C. During summer, the temperature is hot but sometimes it becomes cold at night. In winter, the temperature is cool and mild. The average of low temperatures vary from 9.5°C in the wintertime to 23°C in the summertime and the average high temperatures vary from 17°C in the wintertime to 32°C in the summertime. The temperature is moderate all along the coasts.

Arabic is the official language and Most Egyptians, who live in the cities, speak or understand English or at least some English words or phrases. Fewer Egyptians can speak French, Italian, Spanish, and German.
