The Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum are two of the most iconic landmarks in Egypt, both holding significant cultural and historical importance.

This expedition typically spans around 8 to 10 hours by car, following the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road (Mubarak Road) northwest. Along the route, notable waypoints include the historically significant El Alamein, renowned for pivotal World War II battles, and the coastal city of Marsa Matrouh, cherished for its pristine beaches. These stops not only break up the journey but also provide glimpses into Egypt’s rich heritage and natural beauty.

Upon arrival in Siwa Oasis, travelers are greeted by a tapestry of palm groves, hot springs, and ancient ruins. The allure of Siwa lies in its serene atmosphere and remarkable attractions, such as the millennia-old Shali Fortress, the enigmatic Temple of the Oracle (Amun), and Cleopatra’s Bath, steeped in legends of the ancient queen.

Furthermore, adventurers can explore the expansive Great Sand Sea, home to towering sand dunes that stretch endlessly into the horizon. Accommodations in Siwa cater to various preferences, ranging from rustic guesthouses to luxurious resorts, ensuring a comfortable stay amidst the desert tranquility.

Before embarking on this odyssey, it’s prudent to check for travel advisories and prepare adequately for the desert terrain.
